Heat recovery units ventilate a home or building continuously while keeping most of the heat in the outgoing air. An MVHR (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery) unit extracts stale, moist air from kitchens and bathrooms, passes it through a heat exchanger and uses that heat to warm the fresh air supplied to living rooms and bedrooms.
